Beetle has More Horsepower, More Torque

The exterior features on the Beetle make it easy to see why it is such an iconic vehicle. The round top, round headlights, and generally unique body shape harkens back to the original, but with a modern twist of added aerodynamics and more sleek design. The MINI's more standard appearance is boxy, but is also an affordable and compact option for drivers who don't need a ton of space. Under Beetle's hood, you'll find a 1.8-liter I-4 engine that puts down 170 horsepower. When you compare that to the 1.5-liter with only 134 horsepower that comes with the MINI Cooper, it's easy to see why drivers prefer the 2016 Beetle.

Looking at the interiors, both vehicles stand out in their own way. Despite having a rounded exterior, the interior of the 2016 Beetle is modern and refined, with a focus on intelligent design and functionality. Inside the MINI, on the other hand, the features are rounded and quirky. The less traditional design makes the MINI Cooper stand out, but can take away from the ease of use that the Beetle has to offer. Both vehicles have great features, but the Beetle comes out ahead in more ways than one.
